ABOUT

The Financial Investment Review (FIR) is an undergraduate student organization at Indiana University. Our goal is to prepare our students for careers in the financial services industry and to help our members learn about key concepts and skills.

Internal Development: Once admitted, members undergo an analyst training program led by senior members of FIR. The program introduces concepts and skills relevant to careers within financial services, such as corporate finance, valuation, and an overview of the landscape.

Pitch Competitions: Upon completion of analyst training, members are placed into coverage groups, with 2-3 members within a deal team. Groups are then invited to participate in frequent pitch competitions, which involves the construction of pitchbooks, valuation models, and requires defending strategic rationale in front of an audience of senior members of FIR.

Mentorship: Each team is paired up with a mentor that provides guidance and support, such as resume review, interview preparation, and individual mentorship as well.
